The Alice S. Glenn Family Fund at Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation gifted $10,000 to Southeast Georgia Toys for Tots this season.
The primary goal of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program is to deliver a message of hope to less fortunate children within our community, through a new toy a Christmas.

The previous President and CEO, Paul White, has relocated closer to family in pursuit of other career opportunities in the foundation arena.

For Paul White, outgoing director of the Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation, the foundation’s goal is simple to summarize, if infinitely more complex in practice.
“We solve problems,” White said.
In November of 2021, recognizing that the Strategic Plan adopted in 2018 was, in many ways, still relevant, the Board of Directors of the Foundation engaged in a day-long strategic review work session and decided to use that plan as a basis for an update for the next three years. The three core thematic goals that will be carried over into the 2022-2024 plan focus on the Foundation’s Sustainability, Scope and Scale, and Significance.

For 40 years as owner of Sadye's, with locations first in downtown Brunswick and later on St. Simons Island, Raymond Baumel helped to advise and clothe local, fashionable women. To them, he was the arbiter of good taste, quiet elegance, and style. Many also fondly remember his wife Elizabeth "Billie" Cowen Baumel, with whom he traveled the world in the hunt for the perfect new styles and jewelry to bring back to the women of the Golden Isles. Also remembered was a succession of "Abernathy" Yorkshire Terriers - each one, in his time, a permanent fixture at Raymond's feet by his desk at the store.
