The Coastal Georgia Foundation in partnership with the Christ Church Episcopal Church Women's group is happy to announce the winner of this year's ECW Scholarship, Ma'Kayla Hulett. Ma'Kayla graduated with honors from Glynn Academy in 2018 and is currently attending Georgia Southern University, where she is majoring in Logistics and Intermodal Transportation.
Ma'Kayla has continued her hard work and dedication to learning in college, making the Dean's List twice already. When she's home, she's a faithful member of St. Athanasius Episcopal Church in Brunswick, where she serves as an usher, a lector and is active in the youth program. Ma'Kayla says that her faith guides her and influences her choices in life. No matter the challenges she faces, Ma'kayla remembers that, "God is beside me and everything is going to be all right." We salute this fine young lady and wish her all the best in her academic pursuits and in her life.
This scholarship, created in 2017 by the Christ Church Frederica Episcopal Church Women, provides $2,500 annually to a female high school graduate pursuing a degree through an academic or technical college or university. The student must be of the Episcopal faith and hale from Glynn or McIntosh County.
