Keeva Kase Named Coastal Georgia Foundation President/CEO

The Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation has selected Keeva Kase to serve as its new President/CEO, beginning in April 2023.   Most recently, Kase served as President/CEO of BCM Georgia, a faith-based housing stability and financial education nonprofit organization in Buckhead, Atlanta.

As the wife of a U.S. Naval officer, Derlie Bland traveled the world, visiting many places she had read about as a child.  Throughout her travels she always held a special place in her heart for her hometown of Baxley, Georgia, where she was born on a farm in 1913.  The second oldest of ten children, Derlie Bland discovered early that she loved being surrounded by children, especially when reading books aloud to them.

Raymond & Elizabeth Baumel and Abernathy Fund for Animal Welfare gives again....


For forty years as owner of Sadye's, located in downtown Brunswick and later on St. Simons Island, Raymond Baumel helped to advise and clothe local fashionable women. To them he was the arbiter of good taste, quiet elegance, and style. He and his wife Elizabeth traveled the world in search of new styles and jewelry to bring back to the women of the Golden Isles. The Baumels had a succession of Yorkshire Terriers - each one, in his time, a permanent fixture at Raymond's feet at the store.

2022 CI Grant Recipient: Dec 19-23 Therapeutic Youth Camp

Seaside Enrichment was proudly selected as one of CCGF's 2022 Community Impact Grant recipients.

At Seaside Enrichment camps, local youth (ages 7-11) who have faced behavioral or other life challenges are taught communication, work ethic, social skills, self-confidence, and more.The founder and director, Randy Frost, has decades of experience working with youth in the mental health field.

Foundation Gifts $10,000 to Toys for Tots

The Alice S. Glenn Family Fund at Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation gifted $10,000 to Southeast Georgia Toys for Tots this season.

The primary goal of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program is to deliver a message of hope to less fortunate children within our community, through a new toy a Christmas.

The previous President and CEO, Paul White, has relocated closer to family in pursuit of other career opportunities in the foundation arena.

The Foundation welcomes submissions from qualified applicants.
