As the result of a successful 3rd Annual Conservation Donors Roundtable hosted by the Foundation and Stewards of the Georgia Coast, more than 100K was raised for coastal preservation to support tracking and management of migratory shore birds, sea turtles, the gopher tortoise and the indigo snake, among others. Funders active in coastal preservation enjoyed the various presentations by Mark Dodd a Senior Wildlife Biologist with the Nongame Conservation Section at the Georgia DNR in Brunswick, Dr. Chris Jenkins the Chief Executive Officer of the Orianne Society and Tim Keyes a wildlife biologist with DNR's Nongame Conservation Section. Our very own Dr. S. Lloyd Newberry who holds Doctorate degrees from UGA in zoology, science education and research design, provided information and responded to questions related to his involvement with the indigo snake.

abaw Island and Little Cumberland Island.
