Almost 100 elementary, middle and high school musicians gathered recently at Glynn Academy for an all-day event called TUTTI, the Italian phrase for “all together,” part of the Golden Isles Youth Orchestra’s 10th anniversary events.

Seventeen girls were watching a video Tuesday that featured Morgan Brian, the 22-year-old local woman who played on the U.S. women’s national soccer team that won the World Cup last summer.
Then who walks in but Morgan Brian in the amazingly fit flesh.
In the heat of summer the air conditioning unit at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church went out. The small church had a huge problem and Deacon Partridge didn't know how they were going to get enough money to fix it. But God reminded him that He was bigger than the problem.

Fifth graders learn violin

ST. MARYS — Judy Stipp held her ears in pain Thursday when a group of St. Marys Elementary School fifth graders played a Christmas song on violins. It was the fourth lesson for the students, and it was apparent none had ever played the instrument until several days ago.
